• Nelaton catheter: a soft plastic tube that is inserted into the bladder through the urethra to drain urine. It is used for short-term bladder catheterization or for patients who cannot use a Foley catheter.
• Manual vacuum aspiration (MVA) kit: a kit that consists of a syringe and a cannula that are used to evacuate the contents of the uterus in cases of incomplete abortion, molar pregnancy, or termination of pregnancy.
• Guedel airway: a rigid plastic tube that is placed in the mouth to prevent the tongue from blocking the airway in unconscious patients. It is used to facilitate ventilation and oxygenation.
